Important Security Announcement: The Heartbleed Bug

This week, a widespread Internet security vulnerability, nicknamed “Heartbleed“, was announced. Heartbleed is a vulnerability in OpenSSL, a cryptography library that is used for encrypting a large majority of the traffic across the Internet.

Immediately after this announcement, we took steps to ensure the security of our customers’ accounts. All our systems and service provider’s systems have been fixed as of 18:30 UTC April 9th. Although there is no indications that Elto security was compromised, it is impossible to know for certain. Update Jetpack 2.9.3: Critical Security Update

Earlier today, Automattic, makers of popular WordPress plugin Jetpack announced a pretty important update to its user-base, you can read up on the original blog post here.
